If you’re a fashion fan, Paris offers a reason to rejoice this January. First, take advantage of the bargains – the sales start on January 11th and last for five weeks. A few days later, it is the turn of international fashion as Fashion Week arrives in the capital.

Start the year with some great buys

Don’t miss the winter sales during your Parisian break at Hotel Chess! From January 11^th, many of the capital’s shops open their doors on some of the year’s best bargains.  Trendsetters will find their fashion fix in the stylish boutiques of the Marais. Perhaps you want to treat yourself to something exceptional. The Parisian golden triangle awaits – the haute couture boutiques between the Champs-Élysées and avenue Montaigne also offer massive discounts. Fashion lovers can also visit rue des Francs Bourgeois with its elegant boutiques. Shopping in Paris also means exploring the department stores. You’ll find lots of bargains at Le Bon Marché, Le Printemps, BHV and at the Galeries Lafayette which offers a variety of chic items. Don’t forget to visit the shopping centres of Les Halles and Italie 2 as well.

The Fashion Shows

The internationally acclaimed event that is Fashion Week attracts both lovers of new trends and fans of the great designers. This year, it is made up of several events. Firstly, the Men’s shows will run from 18^th to 22^nd January and then, haute couture is celebrated from 22nd to 26th January. Young designers and those icons of the fashion world will present their latest designs, setting the trend for the coming months. Does fashion make you daydream? If so, this is an event that you won’t want to miss. But remember, the venues for the shows remain a secret until the very last moment. However, we can offer a few clues. The design schools and Parisian highlights such as the Louvre and the Grand Palais regularly welcome this event and, no doubt, their services will be solicited again this year.
