Asia in the spotlight

For some years now, Paris has emerged as a strong and innovative centre of contemporary art. There are now more events than ever, among them the Paris Asian Art Fair. The exhibition is dedicated to contemporary Asian art and is now an important part of the artistic calendar.
A place to exchange ideas
Following the success of its first two editions, the Asian Art Fair - Asia Now, which is the "first boutique art fair dedicated to Asian contemporary art in Europe", will be held in Avenue Hoche from 18th to 22nd October. Around thirty European and Asian galleries will present their collections and, while much of the space is devoted to the exhibition, a large area is left for meetings and encounters that allow exhibitors and visitors to reflect on current art trends. The Korean scene will be in the spotlight, thanks to the work of curator Joanne Kim. Installations, displays and the screening of films and documentaries will enhance the five-day event.
Open the door to Asia
Although the focus is on Korea this year, other Asian countries are certainly not forgotten. No fewer than ten countries, including Japan to China, have been invited to present their current artistic output, highlighting its originality and illustrating the role art plays within their societies. A rare and richly diverse event in a unique place. If you're not on the VIP list, you'll have to wait until the weekend and the afternoon of October 19th to admire these works. However, it's just ten minutes by Metro from the Chess Hotel, allowing you to easily fit an enjoyable visit to Asia Now into your plans.
Contemporary Asian art awaits you in Paris. Get ready for a memorable weekend filled with surprises in the heart of one of the capital's most elegant districts. Don't hesitate to come and see us – we'll be delighted to help you organise your visit.
