Contemporary art in the nave
Categories : Fairs and Trade Shows, published on : 2/19/16
A new year means a new edition of Art Paris Art Fair, an event dedicated to modern art and contemporary art. The magnificent iron and glass nave of the Grand Palais will host the event, which takes place over four days from 31st March to 3rd April. Discover contemporary creations, in many forms, selected by nearly 150 Galleries. This unmissable exhibition can be reached within minutes by metro from the Chess Hotel Paris.
Artists and galleries from all over Europe and the rest of the world
With galleries from Zurich, London, Moscow, Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris, but of course, and also Strasbourg, Lyon and Marseille, Europe is particularly well represented. It’s worth noting, however, the presence of galleries from Tehran and Bogota for the first time as well as favourites like New York. Finally, this year, as with every year, a guest of honour has been appointed. South Korea is the popular choice for this edition and no fewer than 80 artists will represent the country.
Established artists and emerging talent
Founded in 2006, the fair of modern and contemporary art has become accessible to more and more forms of artistic expression over time; painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, visual design, video, and even the comic, from a host of creative artists and designers. Recognised artists, whose works are also at FIAC for example, will present their work alongside works by emerging artists. These can be seen in the gallery spaces and are also highlighted in the "Solo Show" space and in the “Promise" category which is specifically devoted to them. As for the digital arts, they enjoy the most beautiful screen in the city – the façade of the Grand Palace!
Art Paris Art Fair aims to work as an ambassador and make contemporary art accessible to all, both artistically and financially. It offers the opportunity to learn too, so why not go along and see if you can spot the Cesar, Picasso and Starck of tomorrow?
