Food lovers and chocolate addicts can relax. The Salon du Chocolat will once again return at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre from October 28th to November 1st, and this year’s edition promises to be sweeter and bigger than ever. Enjoy a stay at the Chess Hotel for a thrilling event centred on cocoa and all its secrets. The show is set to be a riot of fun, flavour and humour where you can indulge your love of chocolate with sensational delicacies.
A precious substance from the Americas
The 22nd edition of this gourmet exhibition will open this autumn. A massive space of around 20,000 m2 spread over two levels will be entirely dedicated to the delights of cocoa and chocolate. The first level takes you on a journey of discovery; see how the precious cocoa beans were treasured by the Mayans who used them as currency as well as an ingredient in a nutritious and revitalising drink that would capture the attention of the whole world. This floor is also dedicated to the great crus of the cocoa world and you’ll be able to educate your nose and refine your palate by sampling the different aromas and flavours produced by terroirs in various countries. A delight for the taste buds of curious chocolate lovers as well as for regulars of the show who enjoy discovering the infinite possibilities of the humble cocoa bean.
Chocolate in all its forms
The second level is where you’ll find the latest innovations from the world of ‘brown gold’. This is the floor where chocolate enthusiasts can really give their taste buds a treat. Workshops led by prestigious chefs and gourmet guests will fascinate young and old alike. You’ll also find talks given by renowned experts, exhibits, presentations and new creations signed by iconic artists and master chocolatiers that will interest amateurs and enthusiasts. There is even a chocolate fashion show and this year you can marvel at new creations and historic models each day at 17.00. These edible gowns will delight fashionistas and this delicious parade is the perfect finale to an afternoon of chocolate sampling.
